Lamu Water and Sewerage Company Limited (LAWASCO) is the licensed Water Service Provider responsible for the provision of safe, reliable, and affordable water supply and sewerage services to residents, businesses, institutions, and organizations within its designated service areas in Lamu County.
To open a new water account, visit any LAWASCO customer service office with the required supporting documents, including your National ID or Passport, proof of property ownership or tenancy, and any other documents requested by our customer service team. Once approved, your account will be created and a water meter assigned where applicable.
Generally, you will require:
- National ID or Passport
- KRA PIN Certificate (where applicable)
- Approved building plans (where required)
- Completed application form
- Any additional documents requested by LAWASCO.
