On commencement of the main contract to implement the water projects/works. LAWASCO has handed over the sites for; • Mpeketoni Town Water Project. • Lake Amu Water Project. • Kiongwe Water Project • Uziwa Water Project Over possession of the various sites(and contractors work areas) to the contractors, to implement the water projects in the three wards of Bahari, Mkunumbi, and Hongwe. This handover procedure took place at formal handover meetings which is an opportunity to: • Handover projects. • Discuss issues related to the continued occupation of any part of the site such as access. • Discuss security arrangements and emergency procedures. • Discuss any significant information about the site (such as site services, preservation orders, etc). • Discuss ongoing maintenance, operation and protection issues regarding existing structures, landscape or other features to be retained. • Verify the scope of works. • Provide contact details for key personnel on both sides. • Discuss access for LAWASCO personnel and representatives or other client contractors.
The project’s implementation will be supervised by both LAWASCO and LAKWA technical teams. When complete, the projects will be handed over to LAKWA
